May 12th - May 13th: Day One Hundred

I have to admit that Blanca made my day today! Her friend is in the hospital for back surgery and she was telling me about her visit from last night. There was apparently this lady there, who's friends with Blanca's friend, that has clearly had some facial work done. Blanca was saying that this lady had no wrinkles on her face, and her lips were un-natural, but from the jaw-line down there were tons of wrinkles. I had to laugh at the way she was describing it all and how funny she thought it was (I'm sure this lady was a real sight)!

After lunch I relaxed (I vowed that today was my last lazy day) and read my Harry Potter book. We had two coordinators come in to talk about the two new 'students' we're getting. They are both boys from the states (apparently most host moms don't like having boys, but Blanca doesn't have a problem with it). After that Ana came home, but was still too jet-lagged to do anything. Which I understand! Tomorrow we are going to probably head to the park and then some of the festivities for whatever 'carnival' or 'festival' that's going on. Although, that all depends on the weather; they are expecting rain. If it rains too bad I plan on getting a head start on studying while watching some Spanish shows/movies. I'm really hoping for NO RAIN!

XOXO,
Carol

  1. I know what you mean about no rain...the 10 day forecast shows rain everyday except maybe 1. :(. I understand why some host moms wouldn't want boys...Blanca just seems so different and so cool! I really wish I could meet her! I also think sometime before your schooling is over you should think about another trip to Spain again...it is a thought? I think this was a really good thing for you! Love you lots baby girl! Momma
