May 13th - May 14th: Day One Hundred One

I decided to skip the festival this weekend. Shannon told me that her and Sarah went to one of the things last night and it wasn't worth going to. Plus, Ana's having a bit of a hard time adjusting to Spain. Granted, it is still her first day. She came into my room today crying so I decided I'd spend today and tomorrow with her. She's going through the exact same thing I was going through when I first got here so I can really sympathize with everything.

After lunch we went to the park. She grabbed a bite to eat and we sat and talked. We were going to walk around the park and enjoy the weather but as we were eating it got windy and clouds started to roll in. So as soon as she was done eating we headed back to the apartment before it began raining. We'd talked about going to a movie or something after dinner, but plans changed again. The people from her program invited her to go out to eat with them. She invited me along as well but Blanca already cooked us a nice meal and I felt bad not eating any of it. Plus, I think this was something she needed to do without me. I'll be heading home in two weeks and she'll be 'on her own' again so it's best she makes these friends now.
