Mar 11th - Mar 12th: Day Thirty Eight

Rain! That's all it did on Saturday! It rained from the time we got up, to the time we went to bed that night! We didn't let it stop us though. Instead of waking up and starting our day like we had planned, we slept in a little. Which after all of the activity we had the day before I was thankful for a few extra hours of sleep!

Once we finally pulled ourselves out of bed we headed off to the Picasso Museum. They didn't have much of his famous work, but it was still recognizable as being Picasso's work. We spent a good hour and a half there walking around and learning about Picasso's life. After that was lunch.

Since we saw everything we really wanted to the day before we decided that a rainy day would be better spend going in and out of stores and at the movies. At that point we were both already walking around in a puddle so a little more rain wouldn't hurt us. After buying our tickets for 'Cisne Negro' (Black Swan) we did some shopping.

I don't know if these Spanish classes are actually helping, or if the movie was just easy to follow, but I had an easier time understanding this movie than the last one. I'm going to go with the fact that I'm actually learning something! Regardless, I LOVED the movie! It was creepy and strange, but really good! I can't wait to see it in English!

After our movie we had dinner, then returned to the hostel to pack and stuff newspaper into our shoes so they'd dry by the next morning!

XOXO,
Carol

  1. Yummy treat! I agree I think the classes and being in Spain MUST be helping you! That narrow street is a little creepy...I think I would be claustrophobic and freek out. I sounds like you had a good time and I am happy for that!
