Mar 13th - Mar 14th: Day Forty

I think I'm still tired from traveling this weekend. That, or I'm exhausted from the early start I got this morning. I knew that yesterday was daylight-savings for everyone back home, but I wasn't sure about what was going on here. So, I woke up at my normal time and debated my actions for the morning. I could have left at the usual time and would have either been on time for class, or been super late, or I could have left as soon as I was 'ready' and either get to class super early, or right on time. So, I decided to leave ASAP. I ended up getting to the university an hour early. So, I ate breakfast there and studied for a little. Turns out daylight-savings here isn't until the 27th, so I've got plenty of time!

Looking back, today was a bit of a blur. It was like every other Monday (except for the arriving early thing) and nothing too special happened. I've become addicted to the Kinder 'Surprise' Chocolate Eggs though. They appeal to ever childish bone in my body; chocolate AND a toy inside! I bought myself four today (and at just over a dollar I'm going to end up buying a LOT more)! I found out too that the eggs are basically banned in the states because of it being a choking hazard (I guess it's worse cause it's in food). Either way, I'm going to try and bring some back. They had them in the airport when I was leaving Barcelona so I don't see why they wouldn't have some at the Madrid airport!

Oh, and I forgot to mention it earlier, but the Chinese girls moved out this weekend while I was gone. I was really upset! =(
But, we have a new girl living with us from Sweden. She seems really nice! I think this weekend I'm going to go show her around Madrid a little. Maybe I'll take her up to Sol (it's really the only 'cool' place I know).

I also got to meet Blanca's brother today. I don't know if she said he was a younger brother or if he's older and just short (either way, it made me laugh). I like him. He's nice and was cracking jokes all through dinner. He was nice to talk to and took an interest in me and the girl from Sweden (I forget her name... =/ ).

Well, I've got mid-terms to study for (wish me luck on that one) so it's off to bed!
Good night!

XOXO,
Carol
