Mar 8th - Mar 9th: Day Thirty Five

Jenny, Claire and I were going to have a picnic today. Unfortunately the weather website this morning said it was going to rain, and I never told Blanca that I wasn't going to be home for lunch. So, we pushed it back until tomorrow. Guess what? No rain. With my luck it will probably rain tomorrow and we won't be able to have a picnic again! Stupid weather! Although it does look promising; 61 and sunny (let's hope)!

I'm getting more and more excited for Barcelona this weekend! Despite the fact that it's a little cold I really want to go to the beach. So I can at least say that I was there. I also have to start looking up stuff for our day trips; I've been forgetting.

Gio stopped by tonight. I let him borrow my suitcase when he moved out and he was returning it. I was nice to see him and it made me realize how much I miss him being in the apartment. It's different and I don't like it. I also learned the other day that the Chinese girls are going to be moving out at some point. I don't know when, though and a part of me died a little inside when I learned that fact. Even we don't say too much besides the occasional 'hola', I like them! They make me smile! We are also having a new girl move in on Sunday (I think). She's from Sweden; that's all I know.

Well, I've got an early day tomorrow so it's off to bed!
XOXO,
Carol

  1. I think your picnic plans will work out just fine! I want you to have a GREAT time in Barcelona! I know you miss Gio and you will also miss your girls, but keep in mind whoever is moving in will need a friend too. I think it may be best that you don't have more time with your other house guests...think of how hard it's going to be when you have to leave Blanca...being with her and having her care for you for 16 weeks is a lot of bonding! Just make sure you get contact information from anybody you may want to keep in touch with...never know when you will need it or want it. Make sure you take pictures of the girls before they leave so you can always look back and "smile" when you see their picture! Get some rest and I will check on you again tomorrow night...I love you baby girl...hugs and kisses...Momma!
