Feb 11th - Feb 12th: Day Ten

Today I was able to sleep in a little bit again. We headed out to Sol around 11 so we could get there before the crowds. I managed to get all of the pictures that I wanted and missed the other day, which was nice. I also decided that, unless I find something better, I'm getting all of my gifts in Sol. There are so many cute shops!

We also walked through the rest of the park. Once again, I can't wait until spring when the park is blooming! It's still really green, but flowers would be so much nicer! I heard too that there's a statue of Satan in the park. It's apparently the only statue of Satan in all of Europe. I've decided that before I leave I must find it.

I do have pictures, but I'm having trouble with them loading, so I'll edit this tomorrow with pictures. The only thing I really have planned for tomorrow is the art museum sometime in the evening, so there's plenty of time for uploading the pictures.

------UPDATE------

This is the royal palace. It's only really used when important people from other countries are visiting. It's open to the public to tour and look around. I'll get a tour of this next month I think.

This is la Plaza Mayor. There are little shops and restaurants under the arches and most of the windows are people's apartments. At night and on weekends it's like a huge festival there.

This is in la Puerta del Sol. It's the very center of Madrid and Spain.

This is a monument in Retiro Park.
