As soon as I got to the school I wrote down where my classes were and set out to wait (I was a little early). Standing outside one of the rooms was one of the girls from CEA. We got to talking and I was very surprised that she was in the same class as me. Especially since she did better than I did on the placement tests. Turns out I read the room number wrong. So, I found my 'real' room.
Unfortunately, I was wrong again (blonde moment)! I saw through the wrong class for over an hour! Want to know the funniest part? I understood MOST of what was going on! Not all of it, but most of it! Haha, I was in the mind set of "It's the first day of class, so it must be Monday." So, I followed my Monday schedule. I've been in college for three years now, I should know that just because it's the first day of class, doesn't mean it's Monday, haha. I had to laugh too at the teacher's face when I explained what happened. She was all concerned cause I sat through a higher class when I shouldn't have. Honestly, I knew just as much as the older guy who I was partnered with. So take that placement test!
Beyond that the day was pretty relaxing. The second class I was in was my correct class, so no worries there. After class I simply laid around the rest of the day. After yesterday I needed to relax. Unless I get homework I don't plan on doing much during the week. Friday I'm going to try to see the Prado museum (I'll remember my camera this time), and Saturday I may head out to the other things I missed getting pictures of. I may change the days for those though. I don't want it to be crowded when I go, so during the week might be better. We'll have to wait and see!
XOXO,
Carol
OMG...the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree...sounds like my day at jury duty in Harrisburg. I was in the wrong building and only realized that because I needed to be on floor 7 and when I got on the elevator it only went to floor 5? How could this be? I asked 5 people that worked in the area where the building was? Total nightmare. I will talk more to you later about this one. Since you sat through the harder class do you think they will evaluate you again? Oh by the way...heard you had the best tuna salad ever! Learn to make it because you know I hate seafood and won't make it...hahaha. I also want to let you know that Grams sits with me every night to read your blog. She wants me to tell you to come home...she needs you to take her to Horning's...she said she needs more stuff...(you know). Try to keep rested up so you don't over do it. Love you and can't wait to see you this weekend. Love Momma.
ReplyDeleteOk so I'm reading your blog, as usual, and I click to see who commented on it... your mom. So I figured what the heck I'll read it. I almost cried, I got really teared up for a second. I can almost imagine you sitting there reading that. Lol. Glad your having fun!

Don't feel bad, its like watching freshmen try and find their way around McCormick. It has all happened to us at some point.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of McCormick, it still says St. Mungos on it, I thought you would enjoy it.
I miss you and I got my students say YEAH! (in honor of you)
