Feb 5th - Feb 6th: Day Four

So, I first want to start out by saying...

GO STEELERS!!

Now that that's out of the way I can get on to my day. It started off boring. I managed to watch the Supernatural episode that I missed on line, so that was a good thing. Beyond that I didn't do much this morning. We got a new student here, so now there are five of us. It's a pretty full house, but I kind of like it. I can't wait until I can speak Spanish well enough to communicate with everyone.

Anyway, the new exchange student is from Miami, so he not only speaks Spanish, he knows English too. Which was a big relief! After lunch Gio (the new guy) and I went walking to see if we could find him a power converter; he forgot his. We found the Spanish version of 'Wal-Mart', which is HUGE and consisted of three of the same store with different outlets all on the same block (or close enough to it). It took almost 20 minutes before we finally found what we were looking for.

After our shopping experience we decided we'd take a look around and see if we can find my metro stops for tomorrow morning, so I at least know where I'm going. Well, the first one (the one that seems to be closest to where I'm staying) was unfindable. To put it simply, we got lost (or turned around as Gio described it). Eventually we found the street we needed and were able to find the OTHER metro station near by. So, tomorrow I can at least find the station. After that, who knows what's going to happen.

Also, I'm not that afraid of getting lose (or turned around) on my own any more. Yes, it's still scary and will be even scarier if I'm alone and it happens. But I did it once and made it out alive, so a second time shouldn't hurt either. I'm sure that after this week I'll be an expert at the metro (I hope so at least). I just have to find out where I can get a month pass so I don't have to pay each time I use it.

Well, best of luck to the Steelers and to me on my adventure tomorrow!

Good night all!
XOXO,
Carol
