I know I say this all the time, but Blanca really is coming home with me! She made me want to cry tonight.... She asked Gio and I if we like broccoli tonight during dinner because she's going to make a broccoli soup later this week (similar to a cream of broccoli soup). Well, I said that I do like broccoli and that my favorite soup is broccoli and cheddar (the one from Panera Bread). She told me if I find the recipe she'd try and make it for me as well as other recipes from back home as a bit of a comfort thing. I wanted to cry and kiss her! She really is such a sweet lady and I can't stop singing her praises! She really is made to do this; host kids I mean. And I've decided that, as long as I have the room, I want to host an exchange kid or two. I think it might be fun!
My presentation today went well. It helps that there are only 7 of us in that class so I wasn't too nervous. I messed up on some numbers though (they always get me)! I have a hard time thinking of them off the top of my head. I think tomorrow I'm going to work on studying up a bit. I really feel like I'm not learning as fast as I should. But then again, I feel like I'm getting better at the same time; it's hard to explain. I think maybe I just need to work on it a bit.
Well, I still have a bit of work to do so that's all for tonight.
I've got recipes to look up (although now that I'm on the spot about them I can't think of anything I might want...).

ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Nate...I love her too...she seems to be such a loving person and everytime I read this stuff about her, I want to cry! I am soooo glad she takes care of you so well and I would love to personally thank her! Don't worry about your spanish...when you bring Blanca back home with you, she can continue to help you with it...LOL! Honey, when she does something special you should just give her a hug...she would probably really appreciate it! Just let her know she really helps me feel good that she is there for you...I love you pumpkin and I will check on you again tomorrow...love Momma...xxxooo!
