Feb 25th - Feb 26th: Day Twenty Four

So today and yesterday was exactly what I needed in order to get me out of the funk I was in. I had a lot of fun today. I slept in, which was nice, and headed out to meet Jenny in Sol. I had a mini panic attack when I got there though. There was some kind of rally or protest going on and I had no idea how I'd ever find her at our designated meeting location. So, I walked around and tried to find her in the crowd of people before heading back to the metro station that I arrived at. As soon as I got back to the station I saw her exiting it! I was pretty excited that I hadn't missed her.

First, we located the movie theater, then we went for lunch where we talked and made plans for some of the up-coming weekends. The weekend of the 11th we are planning a trip to Barcelona for the weekend, followed by a day trip to Toledo, then one to Salamanca. Then I have a weekend trip with CEA to Cordoba and Seville, then I need a break. From the 15th of April to about the 25th we wont have class. Jenny and I are planning on trying to go to Portugal and Italy during those days. After that I have about a month left. When I think about it like this it seems like the time is simply going to fly by!

After we planned and ate we killed time until the movie started. I managed to buy my first gift which will go to my lovely sister! =) Then, sick of walking around we decided to hit up Starbucks and sit outside the theater and chat. I invited her to come visit me sometime (so get ready for that Mom) and she informed me that we'd try to take a weekend trip to Sweden so she can show me around her home-town too!

Then, finally, we bought our tickets! I got to see Valor de Ley (it sounds sophisticated, but it's really just 'True Grit'; same actors, just voiced-over in Spanish). I have to say, I wasn't expecting a theater like this. They took our tickets as soon as we walked in (I'm keeping my stub) and then we headed to the theater. Once in there, there was someone there to help seat you. They actually have assigned seating for movies! Why don't we think of stuff like this?? Anyway, I'm glad that's the one we decided to see cause I actually knew what was going on; which helped! After the movie we pretty much just headed out.

Tomorrow I have to start and complete my presentation. It shouldn't be too hard to do. I might take a break and go for a walk in the park at some point, too. I also have to start looking up tickets and prices for my up-coming weekends and send them to Jenny so we can find something cheap!

Well, it's getting late and I'm getting sleepy!
